FINANCIAL EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM

A family is the smallest part of society. In order for a strong social order, families need to be strong. In today's modern era, every earning member of the family helps to strengthen the economic condition of the family by being employed somewhere. However, the visually impaired member of the family is considered to be a burden by society. Hence this results in their neglect, to a point where the family members do not even think about taking them somewhere or about their marriage.

Hence economic empowerment is provided by the organization for the economic independence of such adult visually impaired people. Under this program, a survey is first conducted to narrow down a list of people who are in requirement of aid and then according to their ability they are given training for business, mobility and daily living skills. After that, the institution also establishes their employment by giving them the facility of an interest-free loan.

After the introduction of self-employment, the organisation helps them throughout, by keeping in touch with them and motivating them to overcome the difficulties. Such motivation and inspirations help them repay back their loan in a very short time period while also saving and expanding their business.

Seeing how the market changes constantly, with new kinds of job emerging every now and then, the institution makes it their responsibility to inform and give all the knowledge they have to the beneficiaries. Till now 45 people have benefitted from this program.
